November Newsletter

Greetings!

SPEAKERS CORNER 2009: Our fourth installment of Speakers Corner
evening was another educating and fun evening with curious locals
coming to hear Mark Fenwick and his fascinating stories about Giant &
Colossal Squid.

Our November Speakers Corner evening, November 4th, is going to
feature Radio NZs Sound Lounge presenter Kate Mead. Kate is a cellist,
the Production Manager for Radio New Zealand Concert, and a cultural
ambassador for classical music. Classical music is not dying, she insists,
but to keep it alive you have to be prepared to introduce it to all
people at all times and in all ways.

Speakers Corner, running the 1st Wednesdays of the month at 7.30 from
July December, offers a chance to find out more about the interesting
people who live in your Community. Each night has a 20-30 minute
presentation followed by a question period and supper. Gold Coin
donation greatly appreciated.
